Many fond memories link Queen Elizabeth, the legendary Sisi to Gödöllő: she spent 2000 days in the town, and enjoyed long walks and horserides in the park as well as hunting in the nearby woods.

The Royal Waiting Hall reminds visitors of her travels, the Elizabeth Park of her lonely walks, while her beloved possessions on display in the palace and museum bring to life her magical personality.
